October 23, 2008

The law is on the books and being used in Kansas.  (http://www.arkcity.net/stories/102308/com_0003.shtml)  Now we just need the other states to follow Kansas’ lead.

The Patrick Bridgers’ case will be followed on www.JodisLaw.com.

This is a great iniative to begin an education on the dangers of cyber-stalking.  Hopefully, other districts will begin to pick up the program and help these students to understand that stalking can lead to dangerous crimes.

This is just another example of the need to increase anti-stalking laws in other states.

Jodi’s accused killer found incompetent.

October 1, 2008

Unbelievable!  Justin Thurber (Jodi’s “accused” killer) was found incompetent to stand trial today.  The psychologist hired by the defense had previously found him incompetent.  The court appointed a psychologist and the findings were inconclusive.  Justin Thurber will be taken to Larned State Mental Hospital to be evaluated to determine if he is able to stand trial.  http://www.arkcity.net/stories/100108/com_0006.shtml

This is a ridiculous turn of events!  I can only hope that this is a standard procedure in a case like this.  Keep her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
